As the Founder & Executive Director of Digital Democracy, Emily Jacobi works to decolonize technology and co-design tools with traditionally marginalized communities. With her team, she is pioneering tools for offline mapping & environmental monitoring with Indigenous communities in the Amazon rainforest and partners around the globe. Over more than 12 years, Digital Democracy has supported frontline communities to map over a million acres of rainforest, halt mining and oil concessions, and stem the tide of deforestation in biodiverse regions.
