Gregory Wetterau, P.E., BCEE is Vice President and Membrane Technology Leader with CDM Smith in Rancho Cucamonga, California. A graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Wheaton College, he has spent the last 30 years as a consulting engineer in the municipal water industry, designing membrane, desalination and other non-conventional water treatment facilities for communities around the globe. He sits on the boards of directors for the American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA) and International Desalination and Reuse Association (IDRA), and has led two editions of the American Waterworks Association (AWWA) manual of practice on Desalination of Seawater (M61) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Potable Reuse Compendium. He has focused his career on providing safe, affordable and sustainable water from non-conventional sources, addressing our critical water supply challenges, while protecting the fragile ecosystems we all depend on.
