Neil Jain

Neil Jain is driven to solve the world’s greatest challenges through innovation and entrepreneurship. He is the founder and leader of Team Gen Z, a student-run group competing for the $10 MM Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE competition. Team Gen Z is developing a smartphone sized device that can diagnose more than 15 common diseases using non-intrusive sensors better than a team of board certified doctors. All of the members on the team are under the age 18 and their goal is to provide easy and affordable access to healthcare diagnostics to millions around the world.

Neil is a strong believer in student entrepreneurship. He founded a Youth Venture club in his school to help students across Seattle gain access to the tools they need to become entrepreneurs. He partnered with the Ashoka foundation to bring leaders in the community to teach students about entrepreneurial values, leadership skills, and innovating thinking. Neil has run multiple boot camps across Seattle helping dozens of students become entrepreneurs.

Neil founded and is currently the president of Innovation Generation, an organization dedicated to inspiring students to become successful entrepreneurs. Innovation Generation hopes to change the role models of today’s youth and posts stories of innovative students who are truly changing the world in order to help teenagers across the country realize their true potential.

Neil was selected as a finalist for “Young Entrepreneur of the year” by Ernst and Young for his work with student entrepreneurship and Innovation Generation. Neil was also selected as one of five high-school students from across the country to attend the Singularity University Graduate Studies Program, a program which brings together leaders in their field to the best and brightest to stimulate innovative solutions using exponentially growing technologies for the world’s most pressing challenges.

He is currently a member of his school’s National Honor Society, tennis team, Chinese Honor Society, President of its Youth Venture chapter, as well as award winning attorney on the district champion mock trial team.
