As CEO of Rainforest Partnership, I have the utmost privilege to lead a global team that is now remote, but powerful and powerfully dedicated. A team that actively chooses and collectively cares about the well being of our forests and our planet. Together we create outsize impact using an integrated approach that protects forests by working directly with indigenous and local rainforest communities.
It took years of building to get to this outsize and unparalleled impact. Every challenge is an opportunity. The challenges allowed us to be innovative and entrepreneurial, constantly adapting to the changing landscape and baking that adaptability into Rainforest Partnership’s organizational DNA.
I was born and raised in Tanzania, schooled in India, worked in London and have lived in Texas for over 30 years. Now with my work focused in South America and beyond, I have had a lifetime of adapting to entirely different cultures, building real human relationships, and working in many different circumstances.
During the course of my life, and now in my work as CEO of Rainforest Partnership, I get to indulge in meeting new people, engaging with anyone and everyone I meet and do it for the utmost good whenever possible. To my incredible delight, each passing day, more people are coming our way! I get to invite, inspire and engage people to join in. My greatest joy is being a mentor to countless young people, as they aspire to shape their own lives and the world they find themselves in.
We wait for no one, we just go do it. As I have been telling my team for a few years, we are the ones we have been waiting for. To anyone reading this and feeling the pull, join us as part of the we.
